The idea of Music Row was conceived several years ago. The owners, Brenda and Lowell Hamby, are especially fond of music (Bluegrass, Gospel, and Country) and wanted to provide a venue where amateur musicians of all ages and talent levels could gather to play together and also share their music with folks who like to listen and enjoy each other's company. In June of 2005, the Hambys opened the doors of the old Sterling IGA store at 2808 East Lamar Alexander Parkway, just outside of Maryville, Tennessee. With the volunteer help of many friends, musicians and listeners alike, Brenda and Lowell turned an old grocery store into one of the most unique music venues in East Tennessee.
